Reality check! $2000 might get you a week's rent at the St. Regis Hotel (which is in midtown and nowhere near NYU). The other thing $2000 might get you is a walk-up studio way way way uptown -- maybe Inwood, or someplace in that area-- or in one of the outer boroughs...all also no where near NYU.
Of course, that's assuming a landlord will rent to you at all. You'll need to prove an income of at least $75,000 / year to rent an apt for $2000/ month. Can you do that?
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
