Before you make erroneous assumptions about the stellar job President Obama has done for the past seven years, perhaps you should go to www.whitehouse.gov and do some review work. Beginning in the first months of 2009 with the appointment of tough-as-nails former Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano to head Homeland Security, there was an immediate crackdown on all forms of smuggling at our borders. First, Napolitano ordered an end to the Bush/Cheney "random check" policy for vehicles crossing the borders---and she ordered every single vehicle to be inspected for all forms of contraband: drugs, guns, humans, money.
More than two million criminal-past illegals were DEPORTED by the Obama administration in his first term, which means that ICE and Homeland Security focused upon tracking illegal immigrants. In addition, there was unprecedented strict enforcement of the E-Verify program for employers, and any U.S. employers who knowingly hired undocumented workers were prosecuted. The President authorized use of new technologies and also unmanned surveillance drones at our borders, and he also added to the number of border security personnel, although his efforts were filibustered by the block-everything-Obama rightwing Republicans for no good reason.
The Democrats in control of both House and Senate in the 111th Congress (2009-2011) was rated as the "most PRODUCTIVE Congress since the 1950s" by both C-SPAN News and LA Times, so they overrode the GOP sabotages and helped initiate newly stringent border security policies as requested by the Obama team. In 2012-2013, President Obama worked with ICE and the new head of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson to create "Operation Coyote"---a covert operation that tracked, then mass-arrested human traffickers at the southern border, confiscating these coyotes' equipment and cellphones, locating the U.S. contacts, and confiscating their U.S.-banked proceeds. When those thousands of minor illegal immigrants from Central America were dumped during an election year (set up by Jim DeMint as head of the rightwing Heritage Foundation using mercenaries-for-hire), the GOP went on their second five-week "vacation" and refused to alter the Bush/Cheney-signed law prohibiting Central American children from being deported, President Obama summoned the leaders of the Central American nations (Guatemala, San Salvador, and Ecuador) to the White House to hammer out some preventive strategies for having any more minor illegals sent to the border.
Our illegal immigration has been at NET ZERO thanks to the very strong policies of President Obama! Trump is not now nor has he ever been "a necessity" for the political scene. Trump is a self-aggrandizing, narcissistic, power-grubbing, attention-grabbing, sociopathic, misogynistic, homophobic, Islamaphobic, dangerously thin-skinned, shoot-first/aim-later, hate-speaking, fear-mongering, crude and rude, vindictive, oafish buffoon.
Once all the "neon lights, bells, and whistles" hoopla of The Donald have begun to get on people's nerves as more and more Americans realize this guy is like his rigged slot machines---all flash, no substance!...then Trump will finally be seen as the bloviating windbag peddling fool's gold that he has always been.
No and Trump is not ever necessary unless he is the only person on the planet and then he can just declare himself king.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
