That's a great question God may just be a Santa Claus in the sky, that adults cling to, in hope that he exists and will reward them for their good lives etc, just like children do. It's an interesting comparison. Santa Claus is in essence just a more tangible concept of God.

Bring on the historical evidence for Santa Claus: the ancient writings by people who claimed to know him, people who've traveled to the North Pole to see the archaeological remains of the workshop, the references by non-Santa-followers who lived during the same century but who accepted him as a contemporary who really existed. When there's evidence for Santa that's equivalent to the evidence for Jesus, then your question will start making sense.

It's so true. There is no evidence of either. It's funny how children can be taught that something is true, but it is not, as in Santa Claus.

Same goes for adults and Jesus Christ. But its not so bad, because Santa brings light to kids, as does Jesus to adults. BOTH makes you want to be a better person.So in essence, they are the same.

God is real where as Santa Claus although not an actual person is the spirit of generosity giving to others, helping others so both are real but in different ways.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
