William can't marry someone from the Spanish Royal Family. They're Catholic and folks in the line of succession can't marry a Catholic. If they do, they forfeit their place in the line.
(Act of Settlement 1701). This would mean that William would be barred from ever being King. The throne would go from Charles to Harry.
I guess some bride from the Royal Family of Swaziland would meet your approval. William is marrying Kate because they love each other. Not because she's white.
If you knew this country, you would see that the position of people of colour has made leaps and bounds in the last fifty years. There is still a way to go, I am sure. We have, however, many famous writers, broadcasters, sportsmen/women, actors, academics etc from non white groups.
Give it time. Rome was not built in a day. My own partner is a naturalised British citizen from the Middle East, who loves this country, with a passion, warts and all.
I am not saying we have not met hints of racism along the way, but the worst and most hurtful have been in France and Germany in fact. We travel a great deal and the condescending manner of some in these places, both which I know well, has shocked me to the core. Thus in our household Britain is seen as a reasonable model of tolerance.
That is why we choose to stay here. I am no fan of the royals, but I do not think them to be racist. You betray where you are from by your very use of the word "hispanic", by the way!
I agree you seem to hint at there being an acceptable order of races. The lighter the better perhaps?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
