I hope America will be ready for someone as ethical and fiscally responsible as Ron Paul by 2012. Scott Brown and Ron's son Rand Paul are also possibilities I could live with. As unlikely as it is the Democrats would nominate someone besides Obama, or in the event Obama declines a nomination, I hope they will read the writing on the wall and come up with someone who endorses some of the same ideals Ron Paul does.
America has been on the wrong path for decades, and Ron Paul knows it and isn't afraid to say it. This goes way beyond party.
I actually like a fair percentage of his policies. While I can't say we could immediately eliminate the IRS, (there are so many precursor events that would need to take place), the ideal of taking a hard look at every aspect of government to make sure it works efficiently or not at all isn't exclusively a conservative ideal. What I find most troubling is that Dr. Paul is becoming increasingly marginalized in the conservative media - even though he still polls well, Fox Media and other outlets refuse to give him more than a passing kind remark to his face and are MORE than enthusiastic to attack him even with regard to the "tea party" movement stuff.

It's disturbing to see how effectively neoconservatives re-established control over what could have been the first asserted and enunciated alternative to their views in more than 15 years. So instead of Ron Paul - people will cheer on the less than qualified - Sarah Palin - a far more easily controlled candidate than say Mitt Romney , Fred Thompson or some other candidate. As it happens now - Dr. Paul tends to get more airtime on MSNBC than Fox.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
