If someone wrote a song about me and became famous, I would not go public that I am the real person behind the song because I want the public to wonder who the person is being referred to with the song. I want to create a sense of mystery and curiosity. It's like a painting of Mona Lisa, in which people will be asking questions who is this woman.
Well..maybe not a song but a TV character :)) hehehe. I'm kidding..nope I don't care, whatever.
It depends on the song. If the lyrics in the song say that 'I' am a b****, you know those kind of words, then no. But if it were happier lyrics like, you made me fall in love, blah blah blah, sure, why not.
I wouldn't want the knowledge that I were the person behind the song to become public knowledge. If the song is flattering, I would just sound like someone who tried to be famous or narcissistic as best. Or people could scrutinize me and said that I didn't deserve the flattering song.
If the song is unflattering, the reason is obvious. I wouldn't want to be famous for the wrong reason.
As long as it was positive, I'd be happy if it was made public. If it was negative, it may still be okay if it was for a negative reason I still liked. However, no, making it public wouldn't be so great if it would generally cause trouble or embarrassment.
I don't think Geffen really cares she was upset that he was putting more energy into another act. But if it was about me I wouldn't care unless I could sue for a large amount of Hollywood cash.
People find inspiration in so many different places, I really don't think it's necessary to disclose the identity of your "muse". It could be the mailman, and ex lover or some random person on the subway. I wouldn't feel the need to stand up and shout " It was all about me".
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
