No, not at all. The studies show that homosexuals are more apt to depression, feeling alone, suicidal thoughts, drug dependancy, multiple partners, shorter relationships and some other things than that of heterosexuals. Many claim that it is because of them being persecuted but that is not a valid argument for three different reasons.
One it is a cop out and tries to put blame on someone other than the person doing the act when people are in charge of their own life. Two, the same is not true of others being persecuted. Blacks did not have really high rates of suicide and the other problems homosexuals encounter when they were being discriminated against.
And three, the rates of the suicide and other problems homosexuals have are the same in societies where homosexuals are well accepted. The studies show that the numbers are about the same for homosexuals in Holland, where homosexuality is well accepted as they are in the United States where they are not as well accepted. I am not sure about this one but I do not think that the rates of the problems are going down dispite all of the changes that have taken place here in the states.
It is only by telling people that they do not have to suffer from depression, suicidal thoughts, feelings of lonelyness and that they can be set free from these things through Jesus that they will be helped. By telling them that it is natural to feel depressed, suicidal, and feeling lonely is enabling the problem, not helping these people.
Young people tend to have a more sensitive conscience since they have not had as long to work at suppressing it. Homosexuality goes against our God-formed and God-informed conscience, as does any sexual sin. When one cannot quiet the protestations of conscience, then suicide may often seem like the only way out of this inner turmoil.
But the solution lies in turning away from the denial of sin's reality and embracing the grace of God in Christ that empowers one to change and be reconciled to God. The law of God and our conscience are both designed to bring the awareness of sin to our attention so that we might turn to God who makes us new by His grace and the power of His Spirit.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
