If the academy proposal is not granted Funding Approval, the secondary schools on Sheppey will be allocated funding under the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme. However the BSF programme will not roll out in Sheppey until 2010, with all subsequent buildings completed in 2012. The amount of money available is unlikely to match the academy allocation.
