If the drywall has been removed from a building that was mouldy do the studs that were attatched?

It is possible for mold to be on the studs as well as the insulation. As a precaution the studs should be sprayed with a bleach solution and allowed to dry or paint with Kilz. Also remove the insulation and replace.

The mold will thrive on the paper facing of the insulation.

I second what GoToGal said. Assume the worst. There is no hope for the drywall. It will need to be torn out and replaced.

But before you do that the mold that was behind the drywall would need to be killed. Bleach is one way to kill them but there are other substances that are less toxic.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
