If the government doesn't have the right to "redefine" marriage, what about interracial marriage?

I know a couple, he's white and she's black. My husband and I met them at church. They are very nice people.

They just had a beautiful baby boy. I believe what makes a marriage work is two people who are grown up and mature. I believe each should think more of the other person than they do themselves and I believe with all my heart that God should be the center of that marriage.

He makes ALL the difference and I know this to be true. I think you have a head start on this. You seem very smart to be asking these questions before you let go and jump into anything.

Take your time and get to know each other. You will know, in time, if she is a kind and careing person who will treat you right and fairly, but as I said, it does take time to get to know someone. And if you both let God be the center of it all, you have more than just a head start, you are so on the right path.

I'm white and been married to an asian guy for nearly 2 years, so far, so good :) Well, after a little bit you don't even think about race, they're just the person they are to you. Race/skin color isn't the factor that makes interracial marriages break up. It's more culture.

You need to sit down together and see if you have the same general views on money handling, child rearing, and religion, or if not, if you can live with the other one's views and talk it out calmly. Lessee, whatelse... er, food is a disagreement in ours, because neither of us cooks like the other one really loves, but we work aound that by taking turns cooking. Basically if you live the same kinda lifestyle and are committed to the relationship it should work.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
