I don't know if you can because we are talking about human emotion, not intellect. People can know why they shouldn't do something but still do it anyway for the emotional satisfaction. While I love that we have emotions and imaginations, a negative side effect is becoming irrational as well as delusional and it is only when the person is ready for intellectual honesty over what feels good does a theists ever become an ex-theist.

You cannot rationalize with the irrational, which is what you are basically asking.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
