Living in this negative imperfect world, it is easy to sink into a habit of pointing out the bad however, when Jesus and his followers preached they balanced the two by mentioning world conditions but proceeded to dwell on the positive aspects of the Kingdom as being the hope of all mankind. All our literature do the same, always a positive hope for the future and we too should keep this in mind. As time goes on, less and less people are going to listen.
My family live in an area such as this however we have been able to step over in to Macedonia for a time where the demand for the good news is overwhelming. For example, last week we were visiting a sister and a man cutting down a tree came to alert the sister to his activities. We asked if he was a Christian and he said yes.
He took some brochures and was so happy to have some bible based reading material but that was not the end. Next minute there was a line up at the door from all the other workers who also wanted what he had. 28 brochures and magazines in 2 mins until we had to apologize that we had nothing more to give.
Can you imagine working in a territory and not being able to offer a bible study because you physically cannot do any more? This has been our personal experience Two scriptures come to mind. (Matthew 10:23) .
. . .
For truly I say to you, you will by no means complete the circuit of the cities of Israel until the Son of man arrives. (Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come. Regardless of where we are in the world, there will be those who respond and those who do not.
Our positive attitude can make a world difference. We need to work our territory to life because things do change, people move around and come and go. It's like panning for gold, some rivers are more plentiful than others but nothing ever stays the same.
IMHO.
Matt. 24:14: “This good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.” (For all nations to be given the opportunity to hear that good news, the preaching must be carried out in an orderly way, with suitable oversight. Love for God and for one’s fellowman has caused people around the earth to unite their efforts to do this work.) If they listen or not.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
