If you could afford a "Personal Shopper" would you or do you like shopping yourself?

Yay, shopping! Not to toot my own horn or anything (oh, okay, if you INSIST, Lou Lou, lol) but I have been told on numerous occasions that I should BE a personal shopper. I so enjoy knowing a person (I doubt I would be as successful if I did this for stranger-clients) and then shopping around for exactly the item to fit that person's personality, interests, or style of dressing.

I am always particularly pleased when I can find a great gift for my 21 year old daughter, who has a funky side, and also a very sophisticated, professional side. I have never gotten her anything that she's hated, and believe me, if she did, she wouldn't be embarrasssed to tell me, LOL. I try to stay away from generic items like gloves and scarves, yet I do buy them if I am willing to make an investment on a particular person.

For instance last Christmas I bought my in laws each a sweater....but it was cashmere. They wear them often! My brother in law just celebrated a big birthday and he's a tough cookie to figure out.

He's very corporate with little time for fun. I ended up buying him a heart rate monitor on amazon. He "has" to work out and he was overjoyed with this thoughtful gift.

One area where I don't buy is when it comes to a person's personal taste in their home. I did buy my sister some accessory dishes from Williams Sonoma for her anniversary, only because she had already mentioned the pattern she bought in a phone conversation. I bought my sister in law a great set of steak knives, but they are self contained in their own box and are not displayed.

I'd hire one in a heart beat! For clothes shopping, at least! That's the hardest thing!

I'm fine with groceries, with home furnishings, and things like that, but I absolutely detest having to go into a store, find things that MIGHT fit right, try them on, take them off, find something else...such a pain! I would absolutely love a personal shopper for clothes! Someone with the expertise to look at something and just KNOW it would look right on me, and would make me look younger and skinnier and all those other good things!

Or, for the stores to let me shop naked and try things on right there on the sales floor and toss the things I don't want on the floor in a pile. Which would they prefer?!(I'll take the personal shopper!) .

I totally would! I like shopping...sometimes. When I'm in the right mood - and I'll admit it - when I'm shopping for myself.

I can really, really enjoy shopping. Even grocery shopping is fun now and then. But think of Christmas shopping.

I'd just write a list, hand it to my imaginary personal shopper (I'll call her Marcy), and sit back and drink some cocoa. No crowds, no lines, no heavy bags, no long days. And birthday gifts.No more last minute running out to find the right DVD or cd.

No more hemming and hawing over clothing choices. Marcy would do it all for me while I sat in my imaginary hot tub with a daiquiri in my hand (I'm rich, right?) Personal shopper? Yes please!

I don't like shopping, but... I am really, really picky. I also have an unorganized personality, so I would have a harder time coming up with what I wanted them to pick up than just going to go get it myself. I also find myself liking things I wouldn't have expected to like and not liking things I would have expected to like.So even if I did hire a personal shopper, they'd probably quit.

I don't like shopping at all. I would love a shopper to go out there and bring it all back to me. Of course my shopper would have to understand me totally and have excellent taste him or herself.

I never shop just to look. If I go I'm going to buy if I like it. Otherwise I would just feel too frustrated.
