I would like to visit a European country this July which has a pleasant summer climate, interesting things to see and do, and hopefully isn't too expensive. I'm leaning towards Scandinavia and possibly Poland, but would love to hear thoughts of others who might have compelling reason(s) to visit a particular country. Germany! Maybe I am biased because of my German heritage, but I I had to choose one that I would visit, it would have to be Deutschland. So, here is my plug:'-storic towns (beautiful and filled with tradition and things to do)-the famous castles - amazing, something you truly have to see in person-River Cruising - Germany's scenic rivers include the Rhine, Moselle, Danube and Elbe to name just a few.
Great tourism option, plenty of guided tours....- Try a German Wurst - Sausage - Sausages are synonymous with Germany with each region having its own specialty. - Night out on the Reeperbahn, Hamburg - The Reeperbahn in Hamburg's St Pauli district is one of Europe's most famed nightlife areas. - 'Gallery Hopping' in Leipzig - the art is amazing, best "art fair" you can find..- Wine Festivals - Germany has around 1,250 wine festivals each year.
All in all, Germany is a gauranteed great time. It is one of those places that is so rich with tradition that you really have to experience it first hand. A must- do tourist destination at some point, and the summer is as good a time as any : )Hope this helps!

Euro$ My wife and I have been to Europe a few times. Right now, it is very expensive to go to WESTERN Europe, but Eastern European countries are still reasonable. Several years back, we went on a "Baltic" cruise to Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia and Estonia.
All these place were wonderful, but we especially liked Tallinn Estonia. The people there are warm and friendly and the old architecture is awesome. The climate should be good in the summer and you will definitely get more bang for your buck there.
Also, you would be a stone’s throw from St. Petersburg Russia and their "Hermitage" museum (a nice place to visit but...). If you prefer the Mediterranean, go to Dubrovnik Croatia where you’ll find warm weather and beautiful beaches.Enjoy... Sources: World Travelors Google Map View Larger Map .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
