Not a glamorous answer... I'd want to talk to Karl Barth, a Swiss theologian and social activist. When I entered Union Theological, in 2000, I considered myself an atheist, raised Unitarian. I had the privilege to study Barth under Professor Chris Morse, who brilliantly unpacked Barth's careful explanation of Christianity.

It was a class that changed my life, and readings that made it possible for me to become a Christian in what I consider to be the most authentic way. I'd love to talk to Barth about his activities as a pacifist, a minister, and an intellectual. I'd bring the food, lol.... funnyvalentine's Recommendations Dogmatics in Outline (scm classics) Amazon List Price: $14.95 Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (based on 6 reviews) Prayer Amazon List Price: $14.95 Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (based on 4 reviews) Word of God and the Word of Man Amazon List Price: $34.25 Average Customer Rating: 4.0 out of 5 (based on 1 reviews) Barth for Armchair Theologians Amazon List Price: $16.95 Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (based on 1 reviews) The Humanity of God Amazon List Price: $19.95 Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (based on 3 reviews) .

Well, let's see... My first thought was the president. But I'm so sick of him lately that I don't think I could even look at him long enough to have a chat... So on a lighter note, I think I'd like to have an entire day to spend with Will Smith. I think he is one of the most charming entertainers out there.

He is funny, intelligent & witty. I think he would have a lot to say about where he came from and how he got to where he is today. (Maybe it's because I've seen "Pursuit of Happyness" again recently that he is on my mind.

). He started in music and on TV, but now is a movie actor and a good Dad & husband (at least that's what he appears to be! ).

He seems to join the black and white community together for some reason I cannot explain. He has kept his composure and has remained dignified through all of his challenges and accomplishments. He makes me smile, laugh, dance & sing...he is a true entertainer in all respects.

I'm sure there's plenty of interesting politicians & writers that would come to most people's mind with this question. But for me I wouldn't want to spend an entire day with any of them. How boring for me.

I have two (I cheated. ) Well - if they have to be living then, I would say for enjoyment purposes, Johnny Depp. Not only is he cute but, his way of thinking is against the norm & I would love to hear his insights on things.

If it is someone who is no longer living, I would say my grandmother. She raised me & passed in 1997. Since that time, I have graduated HS, College, gotten a "real job", gotten married, and had a son.

We would have a LOT of catching up to do. 1 I would talk to my Mom, who passed away in 1991. I still miss her, and would love to thank her for a lot of things that I never thanked her for while she was alive. And I would tell her that I'm sorry that I didn't try to understand her better.

And that I love her and miss her.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
