I don't think that your master's degree "should" be in the same field as your bachelor's degree, but it depends on your goal. Many people get a master's degree that is totally unrelated to their bachelors simply because they have found a different area of interest as their bachelor's. A friend of mine got his bachelor's in math and got his master's in ESL.
He is now an ESL teacher at a junior college and not a math teacher. One of the advantages of getting a master's degree in another field of study is that you will have a wider scope of knowledge and understanding which will help you in thinking creatively - this may give you an edge in your ability to problem solve and come up with different ideas. In other words, your brain has more plasticity.
Creativity and the ability to think outside the box is valuable asset whether you end up working as an employee or as an entrepreneur. Too much specialization can be extremely limiting and can lead to tunnel vision. HealingUnow 53 months ago.
If you plan on seeking employment in that field, I would think you need a PhD in a similar field. If you plan to teach, it probably doesn't matter NormanL 63 months ago.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
