Tibet I think I would go to Tibet and visit the Buddhist temples there. I'm not Buddhist, but I think spiritually it's probably one of the most enlightening places on Earth. Sources: My opinion .
I had a chance to go to the Holy Land but I didn't feel like it was safe enough right now and I didn't want to leave my kids for three weeks so I didn't go. But if I could do anything and the kids came with pause buttons and money was no object, I'd tour the Holy Land and go directly into one of the footsteps of Paul tours. I think that you can understand so much more about the Bible if you can put into context what where they were and what was going on.
I would also try to spend time in the desert where Jesus was tempted because if Jesus needed to go off alone to better hear the voice of God...How much more then do I need to do the same? I wonder if I would get more out of that than the rest of it, actually? Where would you go, Shel?

I'm starting a sabbatical this week and I am taking a spiritual journey back to visit the people that helped me to get to this point in life. I certainly don’t see anything more or less spiritual in a place. While I’d love to visit Israel, that would be to help me see the places that I read about not for any spiritual purpose.
I believe that the best way to be more spiritual is to be in fellowship with spiritual people. So, I am planning to seek out those who I believe will help me on my journey. Realistically, those who can help me from here, are the same people who helped me get here.

I used to work in Colorado Springs for the Navigators at the Glen Eyrie Conference Center It includes a castle in the midst of mountains and is perhaps the most beautiful place I have ever been. Their conference center is designed for such spiritual retreats and if I had the time I think I would like to go there again. Queens Canyon used to be a place where I could read, read my Bible and pray comfortably outdoors.
Staying in the Castle would be a treat too. Though I worked there and regularly ate in the castle, I never stayed over night in the castle, as a guest I would.
