I think I'd tell me to make sure I go for the new things that are offered to me and to not misout on oppurtunities that cross my path... I'd tell myself to stay close to my parents and give them the love they have given me... I'd tell myself to use up any chance I get to learn and gain more knowledge.. to have fun and be free but aware! ---- etc... what type of things would be in your letter? My Answered Prayer... I've actually done this before, but I did it as a teenager. I had read about specific prayer (a type of positive thinking) and tried it... I'm here to say it WORKS! I wrote something to the effect of: Dear God, (you can write to whomever you believe in, even if that's just yourself) I write this letter to you today with deep appreciation for all you have blessed me with.My mother and I are now living in our dream home, located in our dream community.
I still can't believe how beautiful the trees and flowers are in our garden, everything is just the way we like it. We had plenty of money to do decorate the interior and have made several improvements already. That's not all, the black & white dog I always dreamed of is running in the yard.
We have beautiful wild birds at all of our feeders, and kind neighbors. We live near a spacious park and enjoy taking walks there. We both are making great salaries at our jobs, and have quickly moved up the ladder.
Everything is better than I could've imagined it and for that I am grateful. Thank you for all of it! I must say that to do this properly, I had more explicit details, than I'm willing to share with all of the Intenet.
But, I plan to write one again this year about our mortgage being paid off. If I were to write one from my 60yr old self to my 30 yr old self, I'd thank myself for making health and well-being a priority. For all the books and groups I joined to help gain wisdom and insight.
For taking time to being charitable. For being kind to people on the street, and in daily life. For putting my children's needs ahead of material wants.
For making the people in my life feel special and for being able to say 'no' to things I can't commit to or shouldn't waste energy on that is better spent on accomplishing goals, enjoying my garden, and my community. I've found writing things down in this manner really helps focus one's attention on the things that matter most. Mine would be motivational... And would be something similar to: "Get off your @ss and do something with your life! Yes, it’s good that you are taking that paralegal course so you don’t have to work in an office where you have been underhired, but you need to stay motivated & get out there and get the job and career you want. Secondly, get out and travel!

Thirty years' worth of sports outcomes, market trends, political and other news events... I already go for new things that are offered to me, and frankly I can get enough of those feel-good "life lessons" from present-day TV and books, so I'd have to choose something a little more materialistic. Remember Back to the Future II, where old Biff gives the sports almanac to his younger self? That's where I'd start.
I'd know the outcome of every game before it happens, when to buy which stocks and when to sell them, which laws are about to get passed or repealed, who's going to win each election, which new technologies are going to be invented, when scandals or natural disasters or terrorists are going to strike... not only could I keep myself and others safe, but I could make an obscene amount of money from betting, insurance, and investments. I suppose I would have to include a few tips on avoiding suspicion, using my knowledge for (mostly) good instead of evil, and not changing history so much that the time line goes completely off course and renders my knowledge obsolete. I would tell myself who mistreated me. Then I would get them FIRST! .

If you were to write a letter to yourself (now) from yourself 30 years older..........
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
