Sarawak in Malaysia. It's actually located on the big Borneo Island and the beaches are very nice. There are many crafts by the aborigines and the local foods are great too.
You can also opt to explore the greenery of the tropical jungle by boat ride.
Vietnam isn't too bad either! hubpages.com/hub/Five-Amazing-Places-to-Vis.
I wish I can spend the time in the Island of the Gods Bali..
Malaysia, is my recommendation too! Wonderful beaches and islands on the peninsula as well as Borneo, the oldest rainforest in the world, the friendliest people I ever met, very good infrastructure and health system, cheap cost of living, great variety of food, very important Engish spoken! Visit my hub and website for more information from an expat in Malaysia :-).
