I do not have a large family, only 3 children, I come from a large family..... 8 kids.............
Vacations of my childhood meant, no ground to plow, no hay to bale.....no crops to gather.............it never happened!
I have taken my childern on many " vacations".......Disney World, Magic Springs, the Caverns, Picnics, Stone Mountain, through the Carolinas..........................
To them, and their cosmopolitian world........they have not been anywhere,.
I cant afford alot, but taking the family camping works for me. The kids enjoy nature, going swimming and a little fishing. Doing things together and creating a memory, thats what counts.
We just love the Outer Banks in NC. We went this past year and had 14 of us, and we rented a house. The prices are great for what you can get, a lot better then trying to rent a condo at a beach town.
We stayed in Hatteras, and got a 6 bedroom house, with a pool and hot tub in the middle of summer for about $3000/week. Its a great vacation place too, plenty of uncrowded beach areas, tourtist attractions and dining. Not too much on the childrens amusements parks, but plenty for the kids to do-mini golf, go carts, fishing, museums, and lots of other unique things.
We are 4 siblings together with our parents. During vacation time we spend beach trip and mountain adventurous in our place only. Enjoying sight seeing with the nature as well as reactional activity with the members of the family.
Once in a while we go on a vacation even for a short span of time. Usually we go to the beach and enjoy the warm water.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
