If you refuse to compromise your religious beliefs or standards to appease others, are you being defiant?

Absolutely not! I feel that it would be a violation of that person's constitutional right to his/her freedom of religion. Some of these companies and employers go too far; but it's up to each individual worker to draw the line and put a stop to this kind of discrimination.

We are all different, we are not clones or mini me's that have to follow a leader! What if that leader decides to walk over a cliff into a pit of fire, I wonder how many would follow him then.

NO. That is discrimination and it is covered under the laws. If the employer cannot make a solid resolve for you, seek out the assistance of an attorney.

SOMETIMES people don't understand unless you get into their pockets. Lawsuits are not necessary for everything. But, your silence will become a sign of approval and you must speak out or take an action so that others are not oppressed.

Call them on it in court. While I think it is fine for employees to wear christmas cheer and garb, I never forced any of my employees to do anything against their religious beliefs and I allowed my muslim employees to leave early on fridays because of getting to their practice before sundown and I dont' believe in a lot of things religions dictate, I respect my employees and their right to worship and conduct themselves according to their religious beliefs. No employer should be a fascist.

It infringes on the constitutional and civil rights of other. My employees make my business what it is and without them, I am nothing and cannot succeed. Treat others as you want to be treated in all situations.

A good employer understands, respects and tries to make accommodations to keep harmony in the workplace. The employee has a responsibility to make knowing to the employer at hire about these issues, and the employer has the responsibility to make accommodations where they can.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
