If you were given a chance to be an apprentice of a famous magician or chef, which one would you choose?

I'd prefer working with the chef. Though I'm somewhat captivated by magic tricks the way most people are, I don't think it's something I'd really want to do for a living. Also, there are an awful lot of magic how-tos on YouTube and I feel like some of the mystery is gone thanks to all the solid explanations out there for most tricks.

Learning to be a chef isn't something that can be so easily copied.

I would choose the magician! How fun would that be! I love being in front of an audience.

Yes, I am a ham. How does that song go? "What is it that we're living for?

Applause! Applause! " I would hate being apprenticed to a chef, especially a famous chef.

He would probably make me chop veggies all day! Bleh! That is my idea of hell, actually.

Each of those positions would definitely be an interesting learning experience, but I'll have to side with the foodies here and go with the chef. In particular, I would definitely go for it if I could work with a pastry chef. I'm quite sure I would learn many, many wonderful methods and recipes, and I'd hope to eventually get to spend time with other great chefs too so I could taste their specialties.

I think the artistry involved with this sort of thing is fantastic, and I am a great admirer of pretty food. I am happy just to be able to look at it. To be able to create and taste such things would be so much fun, and worth the work.

Apprenticeship means work. I'd marry a chef, I'd work for a magician. And even though he doesn't label himself as such, the magician I'd choose is Derren Brown.

I would chose the chef as I find it more interesting. I like to cook and it would lead to owning my own restaurant. But most of all it would not require living on the road to go from show to show.

I would choose the chef. I love to eat. Unless I found a magician who specialized in conjuring up delicious food, of course.

Less work.

I would definitely choose the magician. I have always been intrigued by magicians and how they do their tricks. As far as a chef, I do not like to cook at all so I can't see me trying to follow a chef as an apprentice.

Since I would get to choose, I would not choose a job that I would hate. :-).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
