If you were on death row and ordering your last meal, what would it be?

I would have a New Engalnd feast of a surf & turf and to begin this last meal of my life I would have Cape Cod steamed clams with drawn butter (full fat butter) and some incredibly expensive boutique sea-salt. Next and after a bunch of napkins I would like to enjoy some classic French Onion Soup not because it is a traditional Cape Cod feast ingredient .. I'd have it just because I really like French Onion Soup.. with the cheese burnt just a little on top of the soup crock. For my Maine course I would have two 1.5lb fresh Maine Lobsters again with a lot of real drawn butter, plenty of lemon, and that same boutique sea-salt.

I would like to remain as ready to eat the next course as possible and save enough room for it but I likely would not care about my quickly filling belly so I would just eat both lobsters right down to the little lobster legs. Then for my 16 oz prime cut black pepper crusted New York Strip sirloin steak. I would liked this slice of beef grilled nearly blood red rare with a cool red fleshy center and great char grilling cross marks from the extremely high heat charcoal grill the beautiful sirloin was cooked over.

I would also like the steak to be accompanied with two ears of fresh corn on the cob (another vehicle for that butter and salt) and a heaping pile of garlic mashed potatoes drizzled with homemade gravy. I would also need several bottles of ice ice cold Dr. Pepper to wash this all down. If I had any room left (and I know I would) I would have a simple but *Entire* box of 12 plain jane ice cream sandwiches and a great big cup of strong black coffee for dessert.. nothing special for me .. my tastes are really quite plain.

I am soo hungry right now. :).

Find some ice cream. Find it. I'm highly allergic to shellfish--but I haven't always been.

I haven't (intentionally) had shrimp in 20 years--nick one in a Chinese dumpling every so often if they don't tell me about it (I always ask) and I now have medicine to keep my stomach in check--I take it before I go for Dim Sum, just in case. I love shrimp, scallops, lobster, clams, Maryland crabs--the whole thing. Gonna need all of that, too.

Also, I haven't consumed alcohol in 20 years because it would...interact negatively with a medicine I'm on. So perhaps a glass of wine or a beer, or both with dinner. What's the worst that could happen?

Appetizer- Escargot Main course-Prime rib, with horseradish, lobster, snow peas, braised carrots, and baked potato. Beverage- Glass of red wine Dessert- Mud Pie After Dinner Drink- Orange brandy.

I would order a turkey dinner, mashed pototo's, gravy, corn, a dinner roll, a salad with Italian dressing and dutch apple pie with cool whip. I do believe in the death penalty. I believe if you kill someon then you deserve to be killed as well.

I would definitely request a remake of the best meal of my life. It was our first wedding anniversary and we spent it on Block Island. I ordered lobster-stuffed filet mignon, smashed sweet potatoes and roasted mixed vegetables.

I honestly can't remember the name of the restaurant, but it truly was heaven on a plate. And if I was about to die, I'd want my last moments on Earth to be that heavenly!

Well this gal would have to have her final large chicken fried steak, a big baked potato, a wonderful salad, hot roll and a tall glass of sweet tea. I would top it off with a large slice of Cherry Cheesecake. Oh what a way to go!

This is a sobering question! I would order both filet mignon and fried chicken, mashed potatoes, yorkshire pudding, corn, with two liters of cream soda and a two scoop sugar cone from baskin robbins with daquri ice on top and peanut butter chocolate on the bottom. It's pretty much all my favorites.

I hope I never have to order it. Cheers!

Well, if they're fixin' to fry me, I'm gonna need some serious comfort food. My optimum comfort food is macaroni and cheese. My recipe is crazy good, but probably not available in the Pen.

I'd settle for Stouffer's. I also really like a simple romaine and ripe tomato salad with Italian dressing. Here's where I would probably face major disappointment.

I make a custom blend of Good Seasons and I doubt they would have herb and garlic infused vinegar. I would most likely have to settle for institutional Italian dressing. It would be nice if the tomatoes were ripe.

Probably not. Then...do I get to pick a drink? Can I order a Napa Valley Cabernet?

I mean there's no booze in the slammer, right? They would make THAT exception, right? One bottle with a straw, please.

Then, in a perfect world before I meet my Maker, I would need Godiva truffles to accompany the remainder of the bottle of Cab. Not! No Godiva in the Big House.

I wonder if they have any chocolate at all? I might have to settle for prison-quality brownies. And I suppose a post-din din Cuban and a snifter of great cognac would be right out.

But I could always ask...it would accompany a lot of fervent praying. And that's it. Throw the switch!

Scary. Capital punishment should be outlawed, commuted to life imprisonment with unfree labor. I'd have no appetite to eat, so I'd order a decent meal for a random starving person.

I remembered once reading final meal requests and found pages many people might want to browse: web.archive.org/web/20031202214318/http:... It would have to be something tasty, my favourite meal.. a roast dinner. Chicken thinly sliced, gravy, yorkshire puddings, stuffing and mint sauce. I could rest it peace then!

I would definately lean toward the Buddwiggi's New England Feast. I would have them go to The Union Oyster House in Boston and get me a cup of their amazing Clam Chowda, oysters, a crab cake sandwich, and a baked stuffed lobster with drawn real butter. I would have some real New York Cheescake for dessert If they permitted alcohol, I would have a nice Rasberry Framboise.

My regular delicious lunch made by my mother .......

I'd have some baby back BBQ ribs with slaw & fries. And corn on the cobb and I would have some banana pudding for dessert. Thanks for the question.

Homemade macncheese and homemade philly steaks. (ok they don't go together but they are both sooo yummy! ).

Definitely something sweet, like chocolate and whipped cream, and maybe vanilla icecream with strawberries.

Mr. Hero's Roman Burger........It's a Cleveland Thing.

An array of Italian pastas, a side of breadsticks, peach green tea and cherry pie for dessert.

Poutine! Kraft dinner and tacos... e.. It sounds gross together, but I would take it in three courses... and fresh peach pie for desert!

Chili mac! And I'd make sure, I'm the one who gets to make it. It's my specialty.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
