I would, but I also think it would be disastrous if you helped strangers first, and didn't take care of your immediate family first. So, be sure to help your family first. I really liked your reasoning annelisle.

I have been a huge lover of the "Pay if Forward" movement. Treat others the way you wish to be treated, and you usually won't do the wrong thing. I know it's not possible 100% of the time to do everything, because we all make mistakes and say or do the wrong thing at one point or another, but it's a great thing to pursue, and gives great hope!

The Father in Heaven sees this and knows how corrupting money is, (the love of money is the root of all evil) and for that reason, sometimes, he only gives what we need. That being the case, helping many people with small amounts would seem to be a better ideal to set. Then, I as a person would not be party to helping to corrupt another person with a love of money.

I had never thought this through until now, but it would ruin me if someone I knew or met became enslaved by their love of money that they learned to love through me. It might be better to give more people JOBS and set them to work themselves doing good for the world, rather than handing them things or money on a silver platter. The rest of the money could be used to feed, shelter, and build shelters for others who refuse to go to work or live under established rules.

Now you have made me think. Prisoners have to pay for their own food. Implement some type of programs where prisoners can work for their $ and supply a fund to several local prisons to pay for them to work or learn a career.

This what society needs. Pay for education of the homeless. Many are homeless because they do not have the skills to support themselves.

Knowledge is one of the greatest things that people can have, so paying for schooling is a great ideal to set.

I think it would only be right to help, but in an organized way. Helping community agencies, homeless shelters, or other organizations in place to help those less fortunate would be a great way to do it. On the other hand, beggars that come up and ask for money are a dime a dozen for lottery winners.

There has to be a breaking point. I think the organized charities are the best way to spread the contribution around to more than one person.

Yes, but only those of my own choosing. If someone seeks me out, I would not help them. I would take the time to seek out those I want to help instead.

Also, I always liked the idea behind Newman's Own company. Paul Newman set up this business of bottled salad dressings and jarred cooking sauces and made it to where all the profits go to charity. In doing so, he made a small donation in the form of money for capital, started the business, produced many new jobs for people, AND is making yearly donations to charity in the form of profits generated from this company.It's genius!

He figured out a way to make a little go a long way. Not to mention, his salad dressings and spaghetti sauces are off the chart. Love em!

No, as I would like to give it to a proper organisation or do myself charity to the real needy person. Millions of money can help millions of people if used in a proper manner, that what I feel.

I help them now without winning the lottery so I know that it would not change if I had more to give. The list of things I want to do if I won the lottery includes helping out people more than I do now.

Yes, giving a scholarship to a poor child who cannot afford education, supporting an orphanage, giving financial aid to a family who has a sick member in the hospital and needed medications and other treatments. Maybe this random act of kindness will give them hope that God is present among us. That God are using other people to make them aware that He exists and that God cares.

This will strengthen them and to pay it forward, that is to be kind and help others too in whatever way they can.

You know the one thing I've always wanted to do if I won heaps of money - found a few scholarships. For groups I knew could use some private funding....it would be a wonderful legacy.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
