The Scooba does not run quietly. As you might imagine, there's a lot of motor noise in this little machine, and no room for sound insulation. Also, it will bump into things, and some of those things make quite a bit of noise (e.g. Chairs on a wooden floor) if they tip or slide when bumped in to.
The most theoretically-avoidable and most disruptive noise, though, is the series of beeps when anything interrupts the cleaning (e.g. Battery low or "check tank" (dirty water needing to be emptied, clean water (and soap or vinegar) needing to be refreshed)). Unfortunately, the speaker is not easy to access, or to muffle without removing screws (something I have not tried, but have seen instructions). That said, we run our Scooba at night, and just deal with the noise.
I need three virtual wall to confine the Scooba. Currently, my solution is using a dining chair to block one opening and the virtual wall to block the entry and just let the Scooba running free on both kitchen and my family room. Not an ideal solution unless I get another virtual wall.
I found the Scooba did get stuck once a while, very few and not a big deal that I need to rate one star down. Perhaps it is something to do with my home; when closed, the bottom opening space of my dishwasher door is the exact same height as the Scooba, if the scooba bounces into the corner of the door, it stuck. I learned to open the door a little bit when running the robot to prevent this happen.
Another place that it gets stuck is the thin carpet under my dinning table.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
