My husband and I recently had a perfect wedding. Very nontraditional and small (20 people) without being too weird. We loved it and so did the attendees.

I'm just curious as to how your wedding was (or will be), what did you do, why did you choose to do it that way, and (if it's already happened) did you love it? What would you have done differently? See below My wife and I got married three years ago, and actually had a very private wedding. We got married in a lighthouse on an island (I am from The Netherlands, and we have a few smaller islands in the north). Because we wanted a quiet wedding, we planned a weekend with our closest friends, (both our parents, my wife's brother, and my niece and friend, seven in total), and just had a very good time.At the day of the wedding, we got married in the lighthouse, with only eight people, which was very special.

Afterwards, we went into the nearby dunes, to take some nice pictures. The afternoon, we spent on the beach (quite windy), for some more pictures with all zeven, and had a nice lunch/dinner. The evening, we had entirely for ourselves, ending in a bridal-suite in a sort-of tower in a hotel, overlooking a large part of the island, and the sea.

The rest of the weekend, we again spent with the family. After that, the family went home, and we had a small one-week honeymoon on the same island. When we got back, we threw a large party for all family and friends, in a zoo-restaurant (jungle-style!

). What would I have done differently: Nothing. We absolutely enjoyed the way we got married, even though it is not the way most people get married.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my wedding, seems we had a pretty similar idea about the perfect wedding. Sources: Own opinion .

We had ours with about 50 people... Small, quick, effcient. We DID have a few goofs, like a bulitin falling from my tux, our unity candles not being lit, and other such issues, but we enjoyed it, as did our guests. Sources: My Personal Experience..

VEGAS No not really, I just want a small wedding after watching so many people in my family stress over trying to be 'perfect' I want a small wedding with close friends and family, probably on a lake under a gazebow. Something simple! .

Courthouse We got married on a whim at the courthouse (in our pajamas) - and a year later we had a very small vow renewal ceremony at his grandmother's church in their small chapel. It was just our parents, siblings and two very close friends. I wouldn't have had the ceremony, but our families were very angry that we didn't have a real wedding.

I am very happy with what we did - we got married right when the mood struck us - no artificial worrying about who was sitting where or what color were the flowers going to be. It was all about us and our lives being joined together. But I would definitly say that it probably isn't the right way for everyone.

We were very, very sure - and just celebrated our 5th anniversary! .

Elope! The hubby and I eloped to Vegas. We just went for the inexpensive civil marriage at the court house but had a fabulous honeymoon!

If I were to do it again, I might go for one of the themed weddings, those look like such fun but no way I would do the grand traditional wedding. It's what comes after the honeymoon that is the important part. Sources: my life experience and opinions Google Map No map found.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
