I certainly believe there is a certain consumer psychology behind it, since the books cost less, you think you're spending less on books. However, you are essentially spending more on your reading, as you've purchased a gadget that is supposed to make you more enthusiastic about reading and improve your reading. So, yes you inevitably feel like you have to purchase more books, even if you do not read them, and likewise since the books are virtual, there is no place to store them, which in turn leaves less clutter.
I would say it's similar to buying a video game system, you feel like you need a certain number of games to feel like you made your purchase of the system worth buying. I believe this consumer psychology is more relevant with a Kindle 2, as you have to purchase more books to get the $359 worth it. If I'm going to get a Kindle 2, I'm making a serious investment in my reading on this device.
Absolutely. Demi Moore (@mrskutcher) even tweeted that she was reading tons more since she got her new Kindle.
I agree with @easyeboy and add that the ease of the buying experience ala iTunes is the catalyst for many purchases.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
