Ignoring timezones altogether in Rails and PostgreSQL?

First off, the data type timestamp in PostgreSQL is timestamp without time zone by default. The other option is timestamp with time zone ( timestamptz for short).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
