I know someone very similar to you. I think it's simply that you don't fall into deep sleep. My friend can sleep 15 hours and never feels refreshed because she never really falls into REM sleep.
Your dreams with someone chasing you or you running. To dream that you are running away from someone, indicates an issue that you are trying to avoid. You are not taking or accepting responsibility for your actions. In particular, if you are running from an attacker or any danger, then it suggests that you are not facing and confronting your fears.
My advice is first take a look at how you are handling problems in your everyday life. Usually if you have stress in your dreams, the same stress exist in your everyday life. It's normal for your heartbeat to increase if you are dreaming of running, because most likely you are runnin from real fears or problems and gets your body excited emotionally, making your heartbeat faster when you wake up. I would definitely see a doctor though to see what sleeping aids might help or if there is anything else that can be done.
Sometimes you should seek the opinion of more than one doctor if one doesn't help at all. Hope fully this helps some and honestly hope you get some well-deserved sleep soon saman. The_Brain.
You might want to consider a therapist. Just from this short description (and the dream) I would consider an anxiety disorder (panic attack? ) or a mood disorder (depression).
I don't like diagnosing people who I haven't gotten more information from, but I just want you to consider these and then go to a mental health professional and see if they can help you.
Everyone already said go see a doctor so I don't have to say that. I think you should find an activity for yourself which can keep you busy. Set an alarm wake up early make a schedule for yourself and do everything.
If you feel tired take a short nap. If you are a guy then join gym and spend your time there. If you are a girl then talk and talk a lot, force your inner problems out.
Double check your relations, uneven relation can disturb things too. If your family, friends and girlfriend/boyfriend are going along with you. My friend had the similar thing which made him cut off from everyone and that made me think bad about him and eventually he was more disturbed. So take time to look around and don't leave yourself on your own, because we all need someone to care.
I have a question? Do you have history for this. How does this all started?
Where you sick earlier or were your pregnant?
GO TO THE DOCTOR! Your way outside the norm and you could have a myriad of actually problems. Or none at all.(It might not be it might be environment.) If these problems are constant you just need to go to the doctor.
An increase in heart rate is scary, definitely see another doctor if this keeps up. Its easy for doctors to look over things. Could it be mononucleosis (mono)?
I think its probably just the fact that your oversleeping. I assume you got out of college and now you have free time and sleep in as long as you like. Try setting the alarm so you get a solid 8 hours of sleep and make yourself get up.
I notice that when I take naps during the day and wake up my heart is racing. But it quickly goes back down when I get up and move.
For this situation, I would highly recommend consulting a doctor for the best advice or treatment. 13 hours sounds excessive. Oversleeping causes you to feel sluggish in my experience. At least 7-9 hours of sleep is ok.
In the past I have noticed sleeping long hours especially during the afternoon, I would tend to have really intense dreams like your describing. Eating late at night, can cause crazy dreams too. Try to keep a regular sleep schedule.
I think there are too many factors that can affect your sleeping patterns.
I had a similar problem and I ended up having Mono. Other immune issues or thyroid problems can cause similar effects. Have you noticed an increase or decrease in your weight recently?
This is a key symptom in many immune issues. Are you eating properly? Improper eating, especially under-eating can cause these symptoms.
Are you over/underweight? It's possible your body isn't funtioning properly if you are not too skinny/overweight. Are you stressed?
If you did not have a full blood test, I would go back and ask for one. It sounds exactly like when I had mono, and it was undiagnosed for so long I now have chronic mono. You may also consider going to a sleep clinic.
Good luck, try not to worry!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
