I'm a woman throwing myself a 40th birthday party (at home); any fun ideas beyond the stand around/eat/drink scenario?

Rent a big house and have everyone over for the weekend I rented a vacation home in my city, a mansion really. 8000 sq ft, slept 20. Pool, hot tub, trampoline, billiards, darts, full bar area, media room, dance floor.

Giant kitchen. I had all my out of town guests stay with me, and my in town guests came out for the day. It was kid friendly, family friendly, and later in the evening, adults friendly too.

Nothing crazy. Just a good time with all my friends and family in one place. Which my home wouldn't have accommodated..

Happy 40th I still have a year and 1/2 to go. But a friend of mine who turned 40 this year invited a bunch of women over to her house to celebrate her birthday with her. She had a massage theripist and a person who does facials (I dont’ know the professional name at the moment?) come to her house to give all the women facials and massages.

She paid for the services and they guests paid the tips. She wanted to share her day her way with the women in her life that she loved! If was very nice.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
