That is very unhealthy. This will turn her into a habitual liar. It can spiral out of control and she will soon be lying about EVERYTHING without having any judgement of wrong or right.

In some cases people even start believing their own lies and live by them. You need to tell her to stop and that it is very unhealthy. Tell her that this is out of control and that it WILL eventually affect your friendship.

It seems it has already started. She has lied to you and is hiding the truth. The "what are you talking about" will soon be genuine because she will really believe it.

That's bad. It may sound easier said than done but if it seems it's not letting up, you need to avoid her. Make her realize lying isn't the way to get or keep friends.

Get her a real boyfriend, someone you know is a good person. She seems to be suffering from a lack of confidence. A real relationship with a REAL boy might make her see how silly dating fake people really is.
