I'm getting a Error, "Exit Code: 6" or "Exit Code: 7" when installing CS5 products, what's going on?

Exit Code: 7 is "program can't find the payloads" if you check the logs. This means that the installer is either corrupted, files are missing from the installation, or the installation is not compatible with your operating system. There is also the chance that the installation files are not receiving the adequate permissions to install.

This may require editing the registry. Here is a thread regarding your issue: forums.adobe.com/thread/629188.

I just downloaded and installed ps cs5 trial with no problems. I didn't use the downloader. I downloaded the 2 files and placed them on the desktop in a folder.

Then open the folder and look for the . Exe file. Right click on that, choose properties, then under the general tab you want to unlock it.

Then go to the compatibility tab, check the run as admin so the installer will be given full rights. After I did this my computer told me that it needed to reboot (not sure why) so I did. Then I went back to the folder, clicked on the .

Exe file. It proceded to make a folder on my desktopcalled photoshop and unpacked everything there. After it was finished I went to the photoshop folder and opened it.

I right clicked on the . Exe file, choose properties, went to the general tab and unlocked that, then went to the compatibility tab and checked run as Admin, hit apply then close out. This again gives the software .

Exe full rights. I then clicked on the . Exe file in the photoshop folder and went thru the install screens.

I did a custom install and did not insall AIR or the movie reader. The install went perfect. After install I rebooted.

Before running the software I went to start and all programs right clicked on both 32 bit and 64 bit, choose properties, compatibility, and checked run as Admin so the software itself will have full right's. With Vista and Windows everything has to be installed as Admin, Being Admin and installing software as admin are two different things.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
