I'm getting "Network error" or "Could not connect to server" when I try to connect on a Sony Ericsson T610 or Z600, what am I doing wrong?

Java applications all use the first configured APN on the Sony Ericsson T610 or Z600. This APN should be a GPRS/Internet APN, not WAP or MMS APN.
