I'm going through an uncontested divorce. My ex won't turn in the financial affidavit. What can I do?

He keeps lying about turning in the paper work. He tells my attorney he has done it but he hasn't. My divorce is going on 6 months and I have been MORE than fair to him.

He is not even keeping up his end of the deal. Basically he is in default of the papers but the decree hasnt been signed because he won't turn in the affidavit. I am getting very frustrated.

Someone please help. Asked by meaux009 30 months ago Similar questions: uncontested divorce won't turn financial affidavit Lifestyle > Relationships.

Issues with an Uncontested Divorce The reasons a lot of people choose to use uncontested rather than contested divorces because they typically save time and money. By your ex-husbands non-compliance with the paperwork, etc is really defeating the purpose of an uncontested divorce. It is not necessary for your ex to sign the papers and you can still obtain a valid divorce through a default judgment.

1 This is what you are paying a lawyer for. You should not have to be trying to get the paper work. That is your lawyers job.

Tell your lawyer to get on the stick and get this paperwork.

BTW, what's the rush? My divorce took over a year because it was mandated to do so.

My divorce took over a year because it was mandated to do so. "Don't know what state the questioner is in, but in California the waiting period is 6 months. If this is the last piece outstanding and the clock has run out or is close to doing so, I can understand her desire to get it done and move on.

" "my turn signals won't work and I want to know what I can do about it.

Will the judge still grant me a divorce in an uncontested divorce hearing if my spouce is a no show in court.

If I been representated with a lawyer for an uncontested divorce do I have to be physically at court when the day comes.

What does it mean when your camera won't turn on.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
