I'm having problems getting Yahoo Messenger to work with Windows Vista Business edition?

I'm having problems getting Yahoo Messenger to work with Windows Vista Business edition. I can launch the application (most of the time), but after I send an instant message to someone (while waiting for them to respond), Messenger stops responding, and I have to close the program. I'm using Messenger 8.1.Is there a patch, or other steps I can take?

Is the firewall software causing problems? I connect via a Toshiba cable modem and a Netgear router. Thanks!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
