You're best bet is going to be schools on the coast. NYU- Tisch (NYC) has a great program but is pretty expensive and their scholarship programs aren't that reliable. Never fear though, Brooklyn college (NYC) has a screenwriting program that rivals NYU's and is like a quarter of the cost.
If you're looking for something a little warmer, UCLA and USC (California-L. A I think) have renowned programs as well, many graduates from the film and screenwriting departments at UCLA have gone on to win Emmy and Oscar winning scripts and the professors and faculty are not only amazing teachers, they are established professionals themselves. I hope this helped, screenwriting/ Scriptwriting is such a cool writing medium to go into and I wish you the best of luck and remember the best teacher you'll ever have is yourself!
Hope this was helpful! .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
