I'm looking for a childrens book from mid 60's to early 70's. It was called the First Easter Basket. Heard of it?
It was a book from when I was a child and I think it is out of print. It was about the animals wanting to do something for the children, so they decided to put the eggs in baskets and have the bunny deliver them because he was the fastest. Only the eggs were very palin looking, so they used the rainbow to color them, along with sunbeams and moonbeams.
Ugh it was SO long ago I forget. It may have been called the First Easter Basket, First Easter Bunny, First Easter Eggs, something like that? It had beautiful illustrations and it was the only book I had as a child I was never even tempted to wrinkle a page.
I think it was one of the first books I ever read on my own. Asked by Sherri168 45 months ago Similar questions: childrens book mid 60's early 70's called Easter Basket Heard Pets.

I have provided the content and link where you can find them. Please check. Kailey's First Easter Basketby Gina RamseyI went to buy her a Easter basket,Like any mother would,So many things I couldn't do for her,This is one I couldI joined all the mothers,Searching so frantically,Little did they know,This was very different for meAll they had to think about,Is what their kids would like,I had such different worries,And that would never feel rightWould it hold up to the rain,Or fade in the sun,Would it melt in the heat,Or would the colors runI picked a plastic basket,Not pretty as the rest,But for it's special purpose,It would be the bestI bought her a stuffed bunny,And little plastic eggs,Saran wrap to protect it all,And to hold it down some pegsI paid for it with love and joy,but when the cashier cheered,"What a pretty little basket"I had to fight back my tearsAll the other mothers,Took their baskets home,They'd give them to their babies,And I'd be all aloneI shivered at the thought,of the unfairness of it all,They'd hunt eggs with their babies,so tiny and so smallI took her basket with me,And assembled it with pride,I made sure it'd stay together, for that long awaited rideI gave the basket to my daughter, and then a little wave,Because on Kailey's first Easter,I had to put it on her gravehttp://sids-network.org/fp/ramsey1.htm Sources: http://sids-network.org/fp/ramsey1.htm .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
