I'm looking for gift suggestions for an 7/8 year old boy and a 10 year old girl in England?

I'm looking for gift suggestions for an 7/8 year old boy and a 10 year old girl in England. Since I am flying there, I need something fairly easy to pack. I did get the girl a "friendship book" to share with her friends...so they can write messages to each other.

I am looking for something for under $20 to keep things comparable. Then I am looking for some other ideas...small trinkets to toss into a little bag for each of them too. Thanks for any suggestions you might have.Also...any suggestions for their mother?

5 I have taken gifts to my hostess's kids when I travel to the UK. I try to find things that are 'all American', that they can't get there (which can be hard sometimes! ).

The last time I went it was around this time of year, and I took Halloween stuff for the kids. One girl got a tshirt with a sequined pumpkin on the front. A boy got a scary Halloween mask (Halloween isn't as big there as it is here, but is picking up in popularity).

I brought packets of KoolAid for the kids, too--but then we discovered that they don't measure with cups for the sugar so we had to guess how much to put in. But that was ok! Tshirts that are obviously American (with American products, bands or American cities) have always been popular.

American treats/candy. They don't care for peanut butter like we do, I also discovered! Something that is specifically from your town is also nice.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
