When I have friends come to visit, I never know where to take them to eat. I'm mainly looking for restaurants in the Overland Park area. Asked by corpokate 50 months ago Similar questions: Kansas City restaurants area Food & Drink > Restaurants.

BBQ My husband does business there fairly often and LOVES to go to Jack Stacks. We were talking about it yesterday. I think we are even going to order from their website.
He has brought back bbq sauce and it is terrific. Whenever he goes to KS he eats there, multiple nights. jackstackbbq.com/" rel="nofollow">jackstackbbq.com/ Jack Stack Barbecue: Freight House - jackstackbbq.com 101 W 22nd St, Kansas City - (816) 472-7427 56 reviews, directions, menu, and more » Fiorella's Jack Stack Barbecue: Plaza - jackstackbbq.com 4747 Wyandotte St, Kansas City - (816) 531-7427 1 review, directions, menu, and more » Jack Stack Barbecue - jackstackbbq.com 9520 Metcalf Ave, Shawnee Mission, KS - (913) 385-7427 11 reviews, directions, and more » .
Depends on what you are looking for For a good, upscale KS BBQ experience, Jack Stack Fiorellas is always a good option. Burnt ends are yummy, prices aren't bad and you can always pick up and take home, in addition to eating out. The Bristol in Leawood is good for seafood and upscale Sunday brunch -- very yummy biscuits too.
For the best kept secret in homemade mexican, and the best tamales in town, try Tarahumara. 10001 W 87TH St, Overland Park, KS 66212-4671 Phone: (913) 403-9211 Dine in or carry out, very reasonable prices and great food. Good for kids as well as adults.
Fred Garcia is the owner and he gives great personal service. For family-run Greek, Mr Gyros is the best in town. Lovely lamb on pita, along with other traditional dishes.
Eat in or carry out, reasonable prices, closed Sundays. One new and interesting addition is the Ohana Hawaiian BBQ 7301 W 91st St, Overland Park, KS 66212 Phone: (913) 648-0203 Website says they don't have a location in KS, but they do, have been there several times and their menu is the same. Spam is a popular specialty of interest, as is the mixed BBQ platter.
Lastly, the Pitch, Kansas City's free weekend newspaper, has a great dining section, with reviews, ratings, menus, etc. Sources: personal research and experience, lived here 8 years .
I'm not sure how close it is to you, but there is one place you have got to try if you haven't already. Kansas City is known for barbeque, and for good reason. A great place to eat at is Gates BBQ.
The food is good, and reasonably priced too. It's kind of a funny place to eat at, because they yell for your order, and expect you to yell your order back at them. The food is good though, and definitely worth a try.My ex-boyfriend's family only goes there to eat when we would go to Kansas City, so I don't have any other good suggestions, but definitely check them out.
I live in Columbia and can buy their bbq sauce in the grocery store here. It's not the same as eating there though..
Lidas is great for Italian food, tons of good BBQ and I like the Classic Cup I am in Kansas City a few times a year on business. We usually head down to the Plaza area for strolling, shopping and dining. Zona Rosa is a nice area too.
We like Jack Stack's for BBQ or Gates, where the food is good but there is not much atmosphere. Lidas is wonderful for an Italian dinner and we like the Classic Cup, especially sitting out on their back patio . .. For a relaxing summer evening.

1 I lived near KC for about 4 years. I loved to get out to the small BBQ joints littered across Missouri. One of my fav's was Little Dick's about an hour East of KC on HWY 50, near Whiteman A.F.B.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
