Let's forget how you graduated high school. Community colleges have many remedial programs to bring you up to speed. Don't be afraid.

You are right on track. Get in touch with the college you want to attend and ask them the same thing. They will tell you what you have to do.

Don't give up, don't quit. You can do it. Thousands of others in the same place have done it!

Keep trying, keep asking for help. Get your degree, it will make your life so much better. I promise you there are people out there that want you to succeed.

Good luck to you.

By all means, don't let this 'frighten' you into not going! There will always be tutors to help you, as well as remedial (101) classes to help you catch-up. I needed to 'back-tract' a bit with Chemistry-Math.

And, I totally understand how you feel...I was 'weak' in the Math-area all through When I applied to the first college I attended, a small N.Y.S.college, they pointed this out, but in this same section they explained to me all the resources available to help me. And they weren't lying...lol I asked and was actually gladly-given, One on One time with some of my Professors - they acted more enthusiastic for me to succeed than I was! I was accepted because my grades were good for all my other classes, but they, very nicely, made it clear that I would need to take advantage of the Math-help resources and get myself caught-up.

College is different than Yes, but one of the 'best-things' that I found to be different was that they offered more One on One help than Once you get caught-up, you just 'blend-into' the other levels of classes that are part of your major. You apply yourself and you're 'up-there' in No Time - with no one the wiser for it (unless *you want* to tell a friend or something)I was 'placed', by a number of my Professors, to tutor several different classes and believe it or not, I eventually was also 'placed' to tutor the remedial Chem-Math classses I took. I loved tutoring...it actually helps you learn more and re-inforces what you've already worked-through while you are helping another.

The most satisfying part of doing it though, was having a student come back to me to show me a good-grade they recieved on whatever I was tutoring them in - seeing them smile with a greater confidence in their abilities to do well! So you've got nothing to worry about, sweety...if I eventually got through all my required Chem-Math, *believe me*, you can get through and strenthen your Reading and Writing skills to where they need to be! It's too bad you, most-likely, don't live 'next door' to me - my greatest strength has always been Reading and Writing.

I tutored in mainly these-type of classes and earned my first degree in Humanities-Social Science/Creative Writing - I would *love* to be able to help someone in these areas again! But you Go for It! Try not to worry so much - you WILL get the help you need and you WILL do just fine as long as you really apply yourself.

Don't let your fear of the weaknesses you have *now* stand in your way of furthing your education because you can turn them right-around. College is great..you'll *love* it! .

Think you so mach your so sweet , I will love to have a nice friend like you +_+ sela 11 months ago .

Motivation and willingness to learn is all you really need, just be persistent, the desire to improve your intellect is a characteristic most do not possess. Please leave your mind intact, do not drink, or do any drugs of any kind, these will either hinder your progress, or completely stop it. I've got a feeling that you're gonna make a difference in the world.

My first English class at college was good for me and I learned things that I used from then on about composition and even grammar. Never too late.

I honestly cannot imagine surviving Freshman year without decent communication skills but we had to have good SAT scores and write a essay as part of the application process. All I can think of is a small state school that offers an extra year of pre-college prep. Unfortunately, the teaching styles at community and small state schools are not as interactive as those at top rated ivy's.

You need an outreach program from a small but student oriented college like Amhert or the like and that's hard to get into -- although they invest more in scholarships and financial aid and outreach programs. Not all people need college to do well in life. You can be mentored into many professions and jobs. Just do your best.Happiness...

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
