I'm trying to find the title of a book. It is about a teen girl who survived a nuclear war because of super dna She is looking for her father who may have also survived. She runs into a boy who also survived the war.

The name of that book I believe is "Emergence". Emergence; If the book dealt with a group of people who were created, they believe, by a flue their mothers had at one time and the girl is about twelve. She travels to the west coast and eventually end up on a shuttle.

The girl was named "Candy" for Candice. (SP? ) The reason for her, their survival was the gained a superior immune system and never got sick.

They also had enhanced sight, reflexes and so on. I don’t remember the author or publisher anymore, sorry. If that sounds familiar then I am sure this is the book you are looking for.

Good luck finding it, I searched through Amazon looking for it and there are hundreds of books with that in the title. You might use advanced search and do better. I read the book at least three times years ago and would not mind reading it again if you do find it please let me know..
