I'm visiting Seattle, should I also drive to Victoria, BC or Portland, OR?

I have one extra day. Thinking about taking the Port Angeles ferry to Victoria, but seems too much of a rush, plus i'm bond to the ferry schedule. Portland seems fun, 3 hours and it's my schedule.

Don't know where to go for both. Asked by Newport123 59 months ago Similar Questions: visiting Seattle drive Victoria BC Portland Recent Questions About: visiting Seattle drive Victoria BC Portland Local > United States > Portland - OR.

If you do not have a U.S. passport, I would visit Victoria or Vancouver BC this year Up to you, how you feel about the Victoria-Vancouver Island ferry schedule. You could also consider driving to Vancouver British Columbia or doing more around Seattle/Puget Sound/Olympia. I do not know what your personal preferences/tastes are.

In 2008,Canadian and U.S. border regulations are changing, requiring a current Canadian or U.S. Passportto travel between Canada and the U.S.For that reason,If you have never been to Victoria or Vancouver British Columbia,I would go there sometime this year (2007). I personally prefer visiting Victoria-Vancouver B.C. to Portland, OregonPersonally, I enjoy all of the Pacific N.W.from S.E. Alaska, Washington, Oregon, through N. California.

I enjoy the "greenness" and I do not mind the rain. I was very impressed with Victoria and Vancouver BCthe times I have visited there, very nice places to visit. A long time ago,I had wanted to move there (British Columbia),for me, I decided higher Canadian/provincial taxes (socialized medicine, ...), andvarious other things with the political & socio-economic climatethat it was not for me (living there long-term).

Go to Portland! I'm a native Portlander, so I'm biased:)If you're going during the week, I would recommend visiting the Japanese garden downtown and then taking the MAX to the International Rose Test Garden. Also, Be sure to stop at Powell's City of Books on the way home-- it's on the same MAX line.

If you're visiting during the weekend, you should visit Saturday Market downtown and also spend some time at Pioneer Square, "Portland's Living Room". Sources: opinion .

Victoria It's one of the most beautiful places on earth. It's quiet, peaceful, and serene. I've only been once but it made such an impact on me I'm hoping to move there when I retire!

1 I like both Victoria, BC and Portland, OR. Given that you only have a day, I'd suggest Victoria, BC, mainly because I think the charm of Portland tends to require a bit more time to discover and enjoy so a day tirp would be a rush. Granted, I also think you'll get more out of Victoria with some more time, but even a day trip (provided the weather is good) will be great.

Have you considered just staying a bit local? A more relaxing and also very enjoyable trip could just as well be visiting Port Townsend / Port Angeles area. Feel free to ask more questions if you have any.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
