I would think he needs help if he finds that acceptable (not in a rude way). I would seriously talk to him very seriously about it and tell him if he does it again you will walk away from him with your kids. Regardless if they are asleep, they should not be in the same room if he is doing that.

What happens if they are half asleep or wake up? It could damage them mentally for life.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
