In Drupal 6, is there a way to make a content page/node divided in to two halves?

I would use panels for this. Otherwise using a theme with a left and or right column. You can list the tracks on one side and the videos on the other.

You can achieve this using CCK and views. Make a BLOCK view and have it displayed in the proper column on the proper page. If you have an example link to see the content I give a better answer.

Via theming. Do you know theming? I think, short of using Panels, that you've just got to dig into the theme to do this.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
