You probably just need to enable the status bar Click on View and select Status Bar and see if that doesn't solve your problem. Also, you may want to click on Tools->Options and change the elevation settings there. Hopefully that will solve your problem.

2 Thanks for your response. These are things I'd already tried but did again without improvement. Also while trying the things you suggested, there was an update available which I downloaded and installed.

That changed nothing obvious.

3 It's very odd then. I was over at my dad's house a couple of weeks ago and updated his Google Earth and everything seemed normal. We were a little thrown at first because the navigation tools only appeared when you moved the mouse into the upper right-hand corner, but I think everything else was there.

The only thing I can suggest is uninstalling it completely, rebooting, and then reinstalling and see if that solves the problem.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
