In Michigan, can a landlord sue you for the remaining months of a rental agreement if they evict you?

Check your state laws. If he locked you out so you couldn't get your belongings, maybe you can sue.

So if you do sue make sure you have the 3,000 plus about 500 extra in your pocket ready to pay the landlord as he will make a claim for that, plus his legal costs and really easy for him to prove in court you owe that so he will be awarded that.... depends on what proof you have or if he has proof your things were abandoned by you which is more likely, if the court deem they were then you will get nothing at all, will have paid out for your own legal cost and have a CCJ against you.
