TaskKill. Exe is the program that can kill a hanging(or not) program. Taskkill.
Exe (which is in \windows\system32 directory. 1) Let's say you want to kill notepad(let's say that it is trying to load a 1 GB file :-) ) how do you kill : taskkill /IM notepad. Exe 2) Suppose you want to kill a program but you don't know the exe name for the program.
But you can go to the Task Manager(using CTRL + SHIFT + ESCAPE) and then find which program it is that is hanging by looking at the "Process" tab and pressing on the CPU column to identify the program that is hanging. If you find a program that is using a lot of CPU, then find the corresponding "Process ID" i. E PID of this program (under the PID column) .
Let's say, it is 6012 how do you kill it : taskkill /PID 6012. There are many other options to this utility program. If you wanna explore them all, use this command taskkill /?
Have fun. BR, ~A .
No. Other than Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up Task Manager, there's no key combination to terminate a process. If your system is so hosed that Task Manager won't come up, all you can do is turn off the computer or wait for Task Manager to appear.
If you regularly use a buggy program that tends to locks up your computer, you might try preempting it so it won't cause a problem. You can right-click on that process in Task Manager and set its priority to "below normal" as soon as you start it, which will keep it from sucking up all your CPU time if it gets into a loop, so you can close it normally.
Alt + F4 Alt + F4 will send a shutdown request to the window that's currently in focus. It works great when things are working fine, but if the application is truly locked up then it may or may not work. YMMV..
Just do it once (2 or more times should tell your computer to shutdown) to bring up the list of tasks running, select which one you want to end and select end task. Sometimes it takes a bit for the list to come up, but it usually does. You can also sometimes get an indication of which task is using up resources and causing the jam up on your computer.
That's when it's time to yell at your computer! I think that a frozen computer must be the most frustrating thing to happen. Sometimes I would just like to pick it up at toss it out the window.
Here is my list of steps I take to "fix" a computer. If one doesn't work then I move on to the next. 1.
Press escape. 2. Click the right and left mouse buttons in a frustrated frenzy.3.
Press ctrl-alt-delete. 4. Try to restart through the start menu.5.
Try to shut-down through the start menu.6. Press the "power" button.7. Press and hold the "power" button.8.
Pull the powercord out of the wall.(I actually did have a computer that refused to shut down once until I unplugged it) 9. Toss it out the window and buy a new one.(okay I didn't actually toss it out, but I did return it for a new one. ) Hopefully no one will ever have to go through step 9.
I know it's a hassle to restart your computer, but that is really the only way to refresh the system. Oh, one more thing. If you have any kind of error that results from a problem, try using system restore to turn back the clock to an earlier time when your computer was working fine.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
