Inserting date() into a database not working?

You neglected to quote the date value, so the system is computing something like 3/25/2012 (which is the 0.00005642147117296 you are seeing).

Since you're using the curren system time for insertion, it's by far easier to have.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
