Install an older version of Mac OS as dual boot?

If you have only one partition, you need to shrink it before you create new one. Use Disk Utility for both actions. Installing 10.6 should be easy task.

Install it as normally, just select that you want to install it on newly created partition (use some smart name for it).

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
