That article I 2.5 years old. I wouldn't recommend following it. If you still wants to then you could try to rvm install Ruby 1.8.7.
I've never heard of any compability issues between 1.8.6 and 1.8.7 I would instead recommend that you follow Setting up a Rails Development System on Mac OSX Snow Leopard and from there the regular Getting Started with Rails.

Thank you, Jonas. I did come across the page "Rails Development System on Mac OSX Snow Leopard" before and I had trouble also installing this… when I tried to run the command "gem install sqlite3-ruby", I run into error with something like "sqlite3 is missing. Try 'port install sqlite3 +universal' or 'yum install sqlite3-devel' *** extconf.
Rb failed ***", any idea why? – T1000 Oct 20 '10 at 10:50 and when I try to port install sqlite3+universal, I get another error: Error: The following dependencies failed to build: readline Error: Status 1 encountered during processing. – T1000 Oct 20 '10 at 10:55 Did you miss a space between sqlite3 and +universal?
– Jonas Elfström Oct 20 '10 at 11:26 No, this is the exact command I used "sudo port install sqlite3 +universal" – T1000 Oct 21 '10 at 2:20 Then I don't know but you could check out sqlite3.darwinports. Com – Jonas Elfström Oct 21 '10 at 7:54.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
